Bangkok Royal Palace Tour

The Royal Palace houses a hundred buildings, courtyards, frescoes, and statues. A real accumulation of beautiful Art. The place is beautiful and continuously renovated. Among other things, there is an emerald Buddha enthroned at the top of an altar in a temple specially dedicated to him. Built-in 1782, the Palace presents an astonishing and complex architecture, which shows the creativity and the faith of the Thai people.

Once temple tour ticket purchased, you enter the palace grounds.

Most visitors come here to see the Emerald Buddha, a truly sacred icon for Thai people. We were touched by the beauty and attention to detail of each construction. We feel the dedication of the craftsmen who maintain and renovate the place.

How To Get To The Royal Palace In Bangkok

Located on the left bank of the Chao Phraya River, the Royal Palace is accessible by river shuttle. The platform is located near the Skytrain station (BTS)  Saphan Taksin, which comes from  Silom. Several types of boats await you there.

Choose it public boat Chao Phraya Express Boat. You will pay directly on the boat to the controller, who will not fail to come and see you during the trip.

Exit at station 9:  Tha Chang, then walk 5 minutes to the main entrance of the Grand Palais. We notably cross a market that hosts many typical Thai restaurants, what to drink, or eat before or after visiting the Grand Palace.

This journey, which combines Skytrain, boat, and a short walk, allows you to have an interesting vision of Bangkok and to live to the rhythm of its inhabitants. The options for taking a taxi or tuk-tuk are always possible. It all depends on the neighborhood you live in, but the monstrous traffic jams in Bangkok generally do not facilitate taxi trips in the city.
